Modanisa is a Turkish modest fashion e-commerce which operates worldwide selling clothes and accessories for women. While their customers are mainly Muslim, they target Islamic and non-Islamic fashion markets alike, also in western countries.

Because of this, they want to constantly improve their online visibility in English, and this is exactly what they asked us to do for them – to help boost their English domain visibility.


Having discussed their goals and expectations, we decided to go for an extensive Content Marketing and outreach campaign in order to get natural external links from English fashion sites and blogs. The process turned out to be rather daunting at the beginning, because the site is just an online store with no blog and hardly any content other than product roundups and images. In such a case, any CM campaign suddenly must be ‘styled up’ differently.

What we decided to do then was to focus entirely on researching the niche and reaching out to popular hijabistas and other fashion bloggers or editors with relevant content ideas. In this way, we not only got our pieces published on relevant sites, but also built a strong blogging network within a rather close-knit community. This all resulted in natural quality links to our client’s site. Starting in February 2016 we built 119 links from 101 unique referring domains.
